Alpha Flight #75 was the first comic I ever purchased. I know there are better covers out there, but I wanted to see how it'd rank.

Also, you mentioned Mr. Fantastic not being in the book. Would it hurt its ranking even more to learn Spider-Man wasn't in it either? (Think he was at least in 74)

This is a perfect cover for children to be attracted to and pick this book up. The crayon-colored image is relatable and childlike, enough to represent a caterpillar and still look something a 5-year old would draw. It is indeed a very cute caterpillar as well, not gross enough or realistic enough to turn someone away. It's definitely well done for a cover that focuses on a single image.

Crayons? Whaaat? That's tissue paper! Did they teach you nothing in kindergarten/first grade art class?

40. Finish a game that took you at least twenty-five hours to beat

Little Alchemy 2

- Took me about five to six full workdays to get all 661 elements unlocked, and then the last two hours to deplete all the elements and make every possible connection.

It was definitely a fun timewaste as it didn't detract from my work, wasn't involving enough to lament loss of concentration, and had enough content to keep me guessing as to what combinations there could possibly be. I'd often be stuck for a while and then wind up releasing a new item I wasn't expecting (dough, hospital, and pirate were big late ones) and using that to chain off almost a dozen elements to further use. I also like the fact that my last two elements were Treasure Map and Treasure. Feels very fitting.

The worst thing about the game is that I can't really apply it to any categories. It was a 2017 release that I played for over 25 hours. Puzzle game? Maybe.

What's the best way to get someone to steer as far away from your movie as possible? Put a bland photo of who the movie is about in front of a fear-mongering nuclear bombed city landscape in the background, but make it so it's blurry and hard to make out as well. The amount of black negative space that surrounds the image serves only to squish the image even further with credits that should either be on the back of the cover or feature much smaller. It's simply boring and ill-designed for what the movie sets out to do.

Without looking at the posater till I got home, I was trying to figure whaty the hell kind of Hilary Duff movie you were talking about

27. Beat a game with mystery as a central theme

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux

Pros:
- Absolutely gorgeous game. Half the time I didn't want to run around because it was so beautiful just to walk and enjoy the view.
- The beginning of the game was the best part with just no explanation for what you're doing, how you're doing it, what's going on... there's a general WTF-ness to a lot of things early on.
- Pretty compelling story and some interesting puzzles.

Cons:
- Extremely linear. As a game, it feels like it punishes me for trying to explore. Not only is there a lot of empty space (though amazing if you're just walking around enjoying things and not trying to find and save a kid from getting murdered by his crazy family) but there are buildings that look super interesting from afar but ended being a single room or two with little lingering interest.

Overall it was a fun experience that definitely had my heart racing as my brain was full of confusion and paranoia for the first half, but didn't sustain that atmosphere as things wound down. After finishing, I'm kind of glad there wasn't more to it, but also kind of sad about it. Beautiful game though. Very very beautiful and enveloping atmosphere.

Fridge Brilliance: Early on, looking at the beautiful sunset, I was really expecting it to start getting dark out and really intensify the fear I was already feeling (especially the astronaut chase). After a while, I was wondering why it wasn't moving, as much as I loved it. Then... the ending, remembering all the clocks I had passed... brilliant brilliant play game. Oh that was sweet.

Tough one. First thing that comes to mind is Secret of Evermore, but the ending was quite good and I'm just more disappointed with the final level design.

Most recent of note was The Witness. God that ending was frustrating.

44. Beat a game based on licensed stories/characters

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

- I liked X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance back in the day, and picked this up from a closing Gamestop five years ago. I tried it once, but was completely perplexed since it started, for some reason, in the middle of the bug jungle without any rhyme or reason. I don't exactly know what happened, but it was a mess and I just gave up thinking it was just badly bugged.

There was a Watchmojo thing I watched the other day that listed, as of 2014, X-Men Legends II as one of the ten best Marvel video games. I found that surprising, but it got me thinking about it and I spent the weekend powering through.

It was fun. I infinitely prefer the story and levels design of the first game, and much prefer the roster and tech trees of M:UA, but there was a nice forward momentum in this one that didn't stall out like you had with Magma at school segments. The cinematics were good, and the roster was more varied than expected.

I tore through the last two levels with ease as I used Toad the entire game, loaded everything into tongue techs and crits, and had him take every tech station available. He was decimating everything while everyone else was struggling. I felt like a god! MWAHAHA~!

Depends on how bad. Like, I'll almost always be a good person when it comes to helping people, doing quests, use tranqs if able, and trying to make the world better. But I will break every single piece of property, steal every scrap of paper, and trespass everywhere to get my exploration fix.

We didn't get FFV or Bahamut Lagoon either. Square did some stupid things with its localization priorities. We probably would've never gotten SD3 stateside. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we still haven't, o_O.

But we did get a pretty damn good game. I'd love to look in a window where Squaresoft USA kept making games and see what they could have turned out.
